Movie Review: Lady Bird

Alex Cosper gives a five minute review of the film Lady Bird, which he saw December 21, 2017
at a movie theater in Escondido, California. The film is up for several awards and has gotten strong
reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. It's a retro story set in 2002 for an economically-struggling middle class
family. The daughter is bored with Sacramento and dreams of going to college back east. At one point
in the movie she said she was from San Francisco just to sound like she came from somewhere. Overall
the film was well crafted but portrayed Sacramento as midwestern with lack of ambition. But that's not
a fair perspective of a city with two rivers, plenty of parks and natural beauty.
