Wood Turning by Ted Young
SacTV.com "Video of the Day" review by
Alex Cosper on May 17, 2013
Creating products out of recycled wood is an artform that Ted "The Turner" Young has been
spending time on recently. In this SacTV video he demonstrates how he makes collectible items out of
wood. He demonstrates how he makes round corners and cuts grooves into wood. Ted makes sure the wood he
uses comes from trees cut in the region. He also uses leftover wood for other projects such as bird houses,
making sure as much wood goes to good use as possible. The video interview was made on Second Saturday,
May 11, 2013. It was Ted's first Second Saturday appearance. Ted took up wood turning as a hobby before
retiring. He also teaches classes about wood turning. This video shows some of the many projects Ted
has made out of wood.
