Sacramento Rock and Radio Museum Tour "Video of the Day" review by Alex Cosper on May 14, 2013

This SacTV video shot on Second Saturday, May 11, shows scenes inside the Sacramento Rock and Radio Museum as music and radio fans talk about their musical memories. KZAP alumni Dennis Newhall and Chris Foley can be heard talking in the background as the camera catches several concert posters. The museum takes awhile to see everything, as I mentioned in this SacPress article. The museum is the home of an incredible amount of information for music researchers, even for people who did not grow up in Sacramento.

Several major artists came through town, which has become interesting history, since many of these 60s and 70s rock legends remain popular today, such as Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Sacramento certainly was connected with the San Francisco music scene of that era. Many of top Bay Area bands played in Sacramento regularly. The museum is an amazing resource for both local history and music fans. Check out the video interview of Dennis Newhall the same night this museum tour video was made.
