Mike Lidskin and I got together again a year after our first interview on his radio show Twirl Radio,
which is heard on public radio station 88.7 The Voice in Sacramento. This time I interviewed Mike right
before going on his show in which he interviewed me again. In our interview Mike explained his music
selection process, which essentially comes down to the sound of the music and how well it blends with
other music, regardless of genre.
We also talked about differences in music between the decades and how
radio programming has changed since the 90s. Mike, though, doesn't have to worry about format issues
since he gets to select all the music for his show. Some of his selections on Twirl Radio are from
indie artists who listen to his show and submit music.
Twirl Radio Interview Series: Mike Lidskin and Alex Cosper
Below are a series of interviews between Mike and me. In the first one Mike interviewed me in January
2012. A year later I returned to Twirl Radio as Mike and I interviewed each other on January 19, 2013.
