Writing and Publishing from Davis, California "Video of the Day" review by Alex Cosper on December 17, 2012

Many people in Northern California want to be writers for a living but never find the path to getting their books published. But the writing team of Marti Smiley Childs and Jeff March at in Davis have found ways to get three of their books about pop music research published. The first book in this series called Echoes of the Sixties was published by Billboard in the late nineties. They followed this book with two subsequent releases through their own publishing firm. The follow-up books have been two volumes called Where Have All the Pop Stars Gone?. The combination of the three books has encompassed about 90 interviews of artists who had popular hit songs in the sixties and seventies. Their books are available at Amazon and The key to their success in putting these books on the international market has been the lack of competition from other writers on the subject of tracking down and interviewing pop legends who moved on to other careers.
