Sacramento Sirens Show How to Win
SacTV.com "Video of the Day" review by
Alex Cosper on Jan. 14, 2012
The Sacramento Sirens are a women's tackle football team who knows how to win. This video from
last season documents their 45-20 victory over the Utah Jynx. The Sirens demonstate various ways
to score running, throwing and kicking the ball. After shutting the Jynx out in the first quarter
21-0, the Sirens built a 35-0 shutout before the Jynx finally put points on the board. The exciting game
features several long yardage gains by both teams.
The Sirens are owned by Kimberly Bradshaw and play in the Independent Women's Football League (IWFL),
which consists of 51 teams in North America. They play their home games at 3300-3699 Fong Ranch Road near
Truxel Rd and Interstate 80. The team has played in championship games and is noted for their
community service, helping Girl Scouts and Kids Against Hunger, as well as working with the Sacramento
Mountain Lions on community events. The team will kick off their 2012 season this spring.
