Vamp LeStat

Vamp LeStat was a metal/rock band from Sacramento that formed in 1991 and was active throughout the 1990s. Their name came from the 1985 Anne Rice novel The Vampire LeStat. Other metal bands in other places have used variations of the name. The Sacramento band was featured on KRXQ's Sacramento Rocks local compilation CDs and released their own albums. The band's vocalist was Jimmy Tuttle, joined by drummer Bret Blackburn, guitarist Jeff Jones and bassist/keyboardist Brian Boozer. The band's original lineup ended in 1994 as new members were added the following year.
