Frank Hannon

Official website: Frankhannon.com

Frank Hannon was born and raised in Sacramento and learned various musical instruments at an early age. He gravitated toward guitar, but also played piano, organ, bass and drums. In 1981 he helped start the band Earthshaker, which over time became City Kidd, which was renamed Tesla after signing with Geffen for the band's 1986 debut album. Mechanical Resonance contained the rock hits "Modern Day Cowboy" and "Little Suzi."

Telsa sold several million albums and singles in the 1990s following the top ten hits "Signs" and "Love Song." The band temporarily broke up in 1996 as Frank formed another band called Moon Dog Mane, which released an album in 1998. Even after Tesla returned to shows and recording in 2000, Frank remained active with other projects. He released his first solo album in 2005 called Guitarz from Marz and others in the years to follow. His 2012 album Six String Soldiers was billed as Frank Hannon Band. Additionally, Frank has worked with other well known bands including Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Night Ranger and Y&T.
