Caron Vikre's Musical Background "Video of the Day" review by Alex Cosper on November 7, 2013

Caron Vikre reflects on her musical chronology, how she has released 6 albums and recorded a 7th that remains unreleased. Her last album was recorded nearly a decade before this interview on October 27, 2013 at McKinley Park. She explains how she started writing songs around age 8. When she was around age 19 she auditioned for a song competition at Moon Recording Studios, which she won and recorded the local hit "Carry Me Back," produced by David Houston. Caron has since moved on to writing a novel that incorporates her songs. One of her most stunning timeless songs is called "Always," which she comments on in this interview, which closes out our series. She also reflects on clubs where she played live frequently including Melarkey's and Cafe Montreal. The video captures the scenery and wildlife at McKinley Park.
