Matias Bombal shares historical information about Sacramento iconic Crest Theatre. He has part of the
team that restored the Crest, which reopened as a movie theater again in 1986 after being closed for
several years. Matias was also a manager at the Crest from 1986 to 1991 before moving to Oregon and
returning back to Sacramento. In this interview he summarized some of the early history of the theater
such as what happened on opening night Oct. 6, 1949. He was part of the team that restored the building.
This video is the first of a series of segments based on interviews with Matias at The Crest Theatre on Feb. 14, 2013.
Many people have seen Matias on TV introducing classic films on Channel 58 back in the eighties. He has since been a
professional MC at many public events.
