Indie Fashion Show Mixes Menus and Dress

Christina Marie is an actress from Sacramento who has worked in Hollywood and has returned to town to do
innovative events such as tonight's eclectic event at the Crest Theatre. The event is a mash-up
of film, music, fashion and food. Tonight's festivites include The Film Achievement Awards and The Fashion Challenge
Awards. Christina likes to creatively mix ideas together to form new types of shows. The fashion challenge is a mix
between restaurant menus and clothing, which will be showcased by catwalk models. The show starts at 7:30pm.
It features 16 designers merging the worlds of fashion and restaurants.
Her multi-talented background is leading up to bigger ideas for Sacramento. She wants to create a venue for
independent filmmakers and make Sacramento a much more viable place on the entertainment industry radar.
She currently runs Cow Town Film Productions. She has made
several indie films in which clips can be seen at TheChristinaMarie.com.
She performs music in addition to acting. Last year's fashion challenge showcased clothes made out of
newspapers, which was covered by The Sacramento Bee.
