Cal Expo Budget Analysis Crack Up
SacTV.com "Video of the Day" review by

Here's a humorous look at the Cal Expo 2012 budget, which aperates this year at a $1.5 million loss, according to Cal Expo's official website, where
you can view the budget numbers. My analysis is that the budget
needs some creative accounting, which requires a mixture of art and commerce. In fact, the state fair needs a lot more creativity and less spending
on things that can be easily trimmed. Replacing expensive exhibits that strain county budgets with inexpensive videos on a big screen would help
every county. In fact, videos could replace a lot of things like livestock. Granted, the State Fair was originally founded on the premise of agriculture and
the budget must be approved by the State Department of Food and Agriculture, but imagine the savings. I'm sure the animals wouldn't mind. What the
State Fair needs more than anything is to be modernized and lose the notion that what mattered in the 1800s is still relevant. Some of it is relevant
as history, but that can be shown as video as well.
