I met with William Burg
to do a series of interviews on his work researching local history. Each of these videos reflects on how certain eras
were time markers in local history. He also compares local history with broader national history as similar changes were happening
across the country. Burg, who has written four books on Sacramento's past, also helps organize local events such as
SOCA Home Tour 2012 and Norcal Noisefest 2012.
I wrote about my experience interviewing Burg in the Sacramento Press on August 27, 2012. These
video interviews gave me a lot of insight how the local scene evolved each decade in the 20th century.
